During the course Vivian will cover the basics of IOPT theory and practice, through lectures, discussion and experiential work. The course will cover the eight basic topics of IOPT theory:
The course is likely to be of interest to anyone wanting to understand IOPT better and can form part of the IOPT student practitioner's ongoing education. However, please be aware that the responsible IOPT practitioner must be prepared to commit themselves to many years of serious study, and these intensives can only be part of that. This Course offers the opportunity to study and learn with one of the most experienced IOPT practitioners.

Vivian's thoughts about Becoming an IOPT Practitioner
Each Intensive module will be for four days online with Vivian, and will include a specific theoretical focus (see below), discussion, Intention Method work with participants, small group work and Q&A sessions. Participants commit to all four modules. The group is a closed group, and if a module is missed there is no possibility of catching up in a future course.
The theoretical component will be based on the books by Professor Franz Ruppert and books by Vivian Broughton. Also Vivian did an Online Lecture Series in 2020, and participants who sign up for the course can purchase this lecture series at a 30% discounted price.
The modules will take place on 'international time' so as to make them as available as possible to different areas of the world.
Each day will start at 12.00 midday UK time and finish at 8.00pm UK time. The starting time is usually the equivalent of 7.00 am New York time, 4.00am San Francisco time, however participants need to check because of the shifts in time in the UK and other countries in spring and autumn.
These courses are intended for people who are interested in becoming IOPT practitioners, and can become part of the students ongoing learning towards becoming a practitioner. Participants will have some knowledge of IOPT and have some personal experience of the Intention Method, whether in a group or in individual sessions. A good way to start your practitioner education is by doing the Introduction to IOPT with Lucy Jameson.
Please be aware that becoming an IOPT practitioner is a serious responsibility, and requires considerable commitment over some years. To work with the psychological vulnerability of others requires the practitioner to make such a commitment. These intensives can form part of this journey. If you have any questions about eligibility you can contact Vivian.

The Intensive Modules will be over four days and will run on 'international time':
Each day of is eight hours. Days will start at 12.00 midday UK time and run until 8.00pm UK time. This means that people in different countries can reasonably join, particularly the more western end of the world. You have to work out your own start and finish times.
During the days we will have breaks for refreshments and a longer break half-way through the day - 'lunch time'.
The Zoom joining link will be emailed to participants the day before the start of each course. For preparatory information scroll down the page.
I do not provide any form of accreditation or validation of you. To do this in my view is against the basic principles of the healthy 'I'. My aim is to support students in their autonomy and strengthening of their healthy 'I'.
I do provide a basic attendance certificate at the end of the course which records the hours attended and the basic subjects involved.
Please read THE INTENSIVE COURSE CONDITIONS.
Everyone attending one of these intensives must complete the IOPT Intensive Online Course Agreement Form. This is mandatory and you will not be able to join the group if you have not completed this form. The form completion will then apply to any further IOPT Online Intensive Course you attend with Vivian, so you will only have to do this once.
JOINING THE GROUP
You will be emailed the day before the start of each module giving the joining link and the password to enter the Zoom meeting room. This information will be the same for all four days of the module.
The room will be open half an hour before the start (11.30am UK time) so you can arrive and familiarise yourself with the technology and chat to other participants.
We will start at 12.00 midday UK time and work through the day until 8.00pm UK time.
