These Seminars are for three separate days over a short period, usually three weeks. This allows time between Seminar days to practise what you have learned, and bring the results back to the group.
During this online Practitioner Seminar we will look in depth at the starting intention, the stated issue for the IoPT enquiry process. How can we think about the intention at the beginning of the process, and how can we come to understand the deeper meaning of the intention by the end of the process? How can we follow and relate what happens throughout the process to the beginning stated intention, and can we see the intention fulfilled in its original terms by the end of the session?
I have been studying this issue of understanding the intention and relating what happens in the process to the intention for many years, and I have discovered several ways in which we can learn how to relate to this intention as the work progresses. It is very easy to forget the intention, and instead become absorbed in the work. Does the process in the end sufficiently reflect a solution to the intention?
We will look at the many different forms that people use to set their intention, and understanding what we can learn from how people set their intentions.
As one practitioner on one of my Seminars said: "this is showing me how to think about the Intention, and how to follow it through to a good conclusion".
The group will be limited to 20 participants, and is aimed at IoPT practitioners who are already working with IoPT Theory and the Intention Method (the Self-Encounter Method) either in the Individual Session or the group session.
The Seminar will involve Vivian working with participants with the agreement that we can make a focus after the process on how to understand the intention. There will also be opportunities for participants to facilitate each other, again focusing in the feedback session on the meaning and understanding of the intention.
Eligibility: participants will have a reasonably good grounding in IoPT theory, and will be in practice, i.e. working with clients in the individual session.
